Indian Institute of Food Science & Technology was marked by significant achievements and active participation in academic, co-curricular, research, and extension activities. The institution continued its commitment towards quality education, skill development, research promotion, and holistic development of students. The institute successfully conducted various academic programmes, workshops, seminars, awareness campaigns, and student development activities in alignment with the vision and mission of the institution.
During the academic year, regular teaching-learning activities were conducted as per the academic calendar and university guidelines. Emphasis was given to practical learning, laboratory work, project-based education, and continuous internal evaluation. The institution offered undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in: Food Science & Quality control, Nutrition, Clinical Laboratory Science, Microbiology, Information Technology, Fashion Design, Nutrition & Dietetics and Food Processing and technology. Faculty members actively adopted student-centric teaching methods and ICT-enabled learning approaches to enhance academic quality.
The institution promoted research culture among faculty and students through: Student research projects, Laboratory-based studies, Faculty publications, Participation in workshops and seminars. Research activities were carried out in the fields of nutrition, food science, microbiology, and health awareness.
Various co-curricular activities were organized throughout the year for the holistic development of students, including: Orientation Programme, National Nutrition Week, World Food Day, Science Exhibition, Poster and Recipe Competitions, Cultural Programmes Sports Activities. These activities helped students develop leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
The NSS unit organized several extension and community outreach programmes such as: NSS Special Camp, Tree Plantation Drive, Health Awareness Campaigns, Awareness Programme Cleanliness Drive, Community Health Activities. These programmes promoted social responsibility and community engagement among students.
The institution continuously focused on the overall development of students through: Skill development workshops, Industrial visits, Guest lectures, Career guidance programmes, Personality development activities. Students actively participated in academic, cultural, and social activities throughout the year.
Efforts were made towards improving institutional infrastructure and learning resources, including: Maintenance of laboratories and classrooms, ICT-enabled teaching facilities, Library resource enhancement, Clean and green campus initiatives
