Library is the “Heart of the Institute”. It plays an important role in teaching, learning and increasing knowledge of students and teachers. Our College Library was established in 2004 with an initial collection of 550 books. Since then, the library has continued to grow with new books, journals and digital resources. The library is planned in a functional way to provide easy and effective services to all users. It provides a peaceful environment for reading, study and learning. The college has a well-equipped library with various facilities and learning resources for students and teachers. The library has a rich collection of books and study materials related to various courses offered in the college such as: MISSION OF THE LIBRARY To achieve the Five Laws of Library Science”. OBJECTIVES To acquire, organize and update the library collection to support teaching-learning process. To encourage students to read beyond the requirements of the curriculum. To encourage the student to develop the habit of self –study To contribute and to fulfillment the educational aim of our college. To motivate the students for competitive exams, by providing good study materials GREEN LIBRARY We are moving towards the concept of Green library like : LESS USE OF ELECTRICITY- Library is having very much sunlight with the help of that users can search their books easily. LESS USE OF PAPERS: With the use of QR code we are moving towards paperless service.
LIBRARY RULES FOR STUDENTS 1. Every student shall be provided with two books for home reading. 2. The book shall be issued for the time of period of seven days. 3. Reference books viz. encyclopaedia, dictionaries, year books, loose issues of Magazine -journals will not be issued. They are for referencing in library only. 4. A request along with title and author of book will be deposited to get book reserve facility. 5. If any student is found tearing, stealing or defacing books/journals, the cost of book will be recovered as a penalty. Books, and any other material that have been taken out of the library are liable to be recalled at any time and when so recalled they must be returned at once GENERAL RULES 1. The library will ordinarily remain open on week days from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. 2. Every user of the library has to sign in the Visitors Register while entering in the library. 3. Student shall keep silence within the library. 4. While entering in the library, mobile phones are to be kept on silent mode. 5. Food and drinks are not permitted in the library. 6.
